    These data tables allow users to understand 1) the share of nonprofits that had various ranges of paid staff, board members, volunteers, and paid consultants/contractors in 2025; 2) the share of nonprofits that depend on paid staff, board members, volunteers, and paid consultants/contractors to carry out various functions; 3) the importance of volunteers to the work that nonprofits conducted in 2025; 4) the share of nonprofits that engage in various volunteer management activities; and 5) the share of nonprofits that consider volunteers to be part of their workforce.
