National Survey of Nonprofit Trends and Impacts Public Use Files

This catalog entry contains the National Survey of Nonprofit Trends and Impacts Public Use Files. The Spring 2021 survey was the first wave of a panel dataset designed to collect repeat-observations that will help policymakers, nonprofits, and researchers better understand the long-term experiences of 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the U.S. Additional datasets will be posted as future survey waves are fielded.

We are releasing de-identified survey responses as Public Use Files that others can use to conduct their own analyses. This is in keeping with the disclosure that was made to survey respondents that results would only be released without identifying information. Please refer to the accompanying data documentation in this entry for details about which survey variables are included, excluded, and manipulated to protect the privacy of respondents and their organizations; as well as for additional information about the sample used to conduct the survey and weights that are required to produce nationally representative tabulations.
